Anytime anything reminds me of the song Cats in the Cradle by Harry Chaplin I at very least want to cry and most of the time I do.
Damn I fail at this blog thing. I seriously needs to get writing soon! -I do, in fact, have a lot of things I’d want to write about.
Sorry ‘bout the offensive title here. Just expressing my feelings’n stuff..^^”
More of your thoughts please? :O They’re both delicious and nutritious.
Mark Gunnery & Ryan Harvey - Dandelions
I relate to this song far too much for someone who isn’t at all homesick. o.O
Someone parodied me, saying “In short I am a pompous ass who believes that I am a great philosopher and thinker for our times.” so I responded by saying “Philosophy is below me. I’m always right so I don’t need to use the tools of the Layman such as philosophy. I understand that these tools: philosophy, science, logic, etc, are valuable to those who are fallible, and I don’t fault you for findinguse in them. I really do wish that you’d be as understanding towards me as I am towards you, though. Understand that I’m better than you and thus I don’t need to lower myself to using your axioms and algorithms for obtaining knowledge. Is that really too much to ask for? Considering who I’m asking it of, yes.”
Well, it’s been almost a year now since I got out of high school. It’s been almost a year since the moment when I last wished my time away, wanting the end of the school-day to come sooner. I don’t think I could ever attend school again or work in the conventional sense of the word. I simple feel as though living is pointless if I’m wishing away whatever amount of time that I have. I’d so much rather earn less money than I would if I had a job if it allows me to enjoy the process rather than wishing it would go by faster.
I never want to be in a position where I wish away my hours again, for what else do I have without them?
Let’s see how many times someone answering the question, “How come there is so much error in Science?” can get me to facepalm in four sentences.
“Science doesn’t offer us the facts, it offers us explanations.”
Okay, I don’t agree with this but it’s nothing too out there.
“Very rarely does a work of science that gets published gets proven to be false, if anything science is always getting updated.”
Facepalm #1.
How the fuck is it getting updated if old things aren’t demonstrated to be false?
“There is no absolute truth, science is trustworthy field of study there really isn’t anything to doubt.”
Facepalm #2.
How do you reach the conclusion that there is no absolute truth? Is not the claim that there is no absolute truth a claim of absolute truth? If it is you’ve contradicted yourself and if it isn’t then the possibility for absolute truth still remains.
“Chances are if you’re being taught something in a science class, it won’t be disproved, only improved.”
Facepalm #3.
Rewording that nonsense about scientific norms never being disproved. See Facepalm #1.
Well, that’s a facepalm in 3/4 sentences. Pretty damn impressive.
