THEY JUST MADE A BANANA INTO A SPACE BAR
At first I didn’t understand
But now I do.
I feel like I’ve done absolutely nothing with my life.
Also I need this. For reasons.
Amazing, for real!
YES PLEASE.
leftybegone asked: I don't think the subject of philosophy is necessarily BS, but a philosophy degree is. A degree is meant to get you a job, period. If you want to learn about philosophy, you can do that without a degree. Spending tens of thousands to get a degree in philosophy is a person's choice, but he also has no right to complain when he can't find work. Nobody says, "Well, right now...
Lefty Begone: Philosophy Classes: Where Liberals... →
leftybegone:
A liberal by the name of Rachel Jennings wrote that the pro-life person giving this logic-based argument needs to take a course in philosophy.
Philosophy.
I don’t usually laugh out loud when reading liberals’ inanities, but this time I am (although I admit it’s just a chuckle).
Philosophy…
What the fucking hell are you talking about? Who the hell told you that philosophy...

My Eysenck Personality Results (The "Big 45")
wisdomaquisitiondevice:
I’m not so sure that the “lie” part should be 50% just because I “present myself in a socially acceptable light”. I am almost always honest. I do try to be polite and respectful to people that are rude and such, but I think that shows I use my manners, not that I tell lies.
(P.S. Does anyone else find the description below “Psychoticism” strange? I find it peculiar...

You know what disgusts me?
eclecticspectrum:
When white people drowning in privilege delete their tumblr accounts.
It makes my soul itch.
Why?
Because it is the ultimate privilege to say hey this is too difficult for me right now so I’m just going to go away.
I could make an account where I don’t talk about “issues” at all. That of course would involve me stifling myself but I could do that. But it can’t turn it off...

I just looked through a thread on the abortion...
More than half of the pro-choicers were using the argument “if you don’t like abortion, then it’s simple: don’t have one!”.
God damn it. Mass stupidity strikes again.
*EDIT*
Mass lack of critical thinking skills*

i-dfallapartwithoutyou-deactiva asked: I didn't say anything about the repercussions of the United States military. I simply stated I do not have any respect for people hating the military who provide the very freedom they live under. I have many friends, and family in the military so I take hating on the military very personally. I don't appreciate you saying that I am the one that deserves the no respect. Yes, what our...

If you insult the American military, or have a...
inaredsundressatacreekat2am:
I don’t tolerate that bullshit and I don’t respect you.
GTFO.
The “insult” part, I can understand. If you have a loved one serving, the military as a whole being insulted would hurt and be potentially triggering. However, to say that you don’t respect someone for having “a problem with the American military” is just simply ignorant....

How many environmentalists does it take to chance...
nephastopheles:
During the Q & A of a talk I gave last week,
someone asked, “How many environmentalists does
it take to change a lightbulb?”
“I’ll bite,” I said, “How many?”
“None,” he replied. “They just sit in the dark and
whine about fossil fuel emissions.”
I didn’t get it. Evidently, neither did anyone else in
the audience. Nobody laughed. I, as well as the rest
of the audience,...

If You Knew Prior To 9/11....
talkstraight:
…that the 19 terrorists that attacked the US on September 11, 2001, where hiding in a home in the Middle East, would you bomb that house and take them out in order to save the lives of 3,000 US citizens?
What if you also knew that, in that same house, were three families of innocent people? Would you have the fortitude to do the right thing then?
If not, then maybe you should...

"Saint" Trayvon Martin had Marijuana in his...
carlsaganisgayporn:
thegayrepublican:
Yeah defiantly not a saint. It’s now a fact that Mr. Martin smoked marijuana. Therefore he isn’t the good little boy that the media portrays him to be. I’m all for legalization of Marijuana, but the media painted a pretty little picture that Trayvon was a good boy that never did any wrong. I’m sure that more will come out in this case. Let’s keep a close...

Omnipotence →
I don’t understand why monotheists insist on using descriptors like “omnipotent” to conceptualize their deity’s abilities. It simply ends in a contradiction when you ask “can its power a surpass its power b?”. An easy to understand example is the classical question: “can God create a rock so heavy that he cannot move it?”. It’s obvious that any...
